Our team’s volunteering activities in Scotland
Yesterday, five members of the DTM team completed a day’s volunteering for the Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust, clearing cycleways and verges of an invasive Himalayan balsam, and tidying pathway edges to create safer environments for cyclists and pedestrians.
It was a great opportunity for the team to support a positive community project in Edinburgh, whilst undoubtedly also providing mental and physical health benefits.
Mirran Trimble of Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust said, “Thank you again for your help along the Cycleways yesterday! It was a pleasure having your team along, and everyone was really positive and enthusiastic which was fantastic. You all did a great job clearing the Balsam and it will make a real difference to the site”.
DTM have also donated £400 to support the continuation of the project.
