DTM’s 20 years of experience and knowledge
May 2024 saw DTM’s celebration of 20 years in the tyre industry.
In May 2004, Steve Richardson took his 27-year career in the tyre industry to a new level, by setting up DTM. Determined to make a success of the fledgling business, Steve initially provided a 24/7/365 service to customers via a telephone landline plugged in by the side of his bed!
Steve’s hard work paid off, and the business continued to grow. In 2020, DTM was boosted by investment and mentorship by Palatine, a relationship which continues to have a major impact on our focus on carbon reduction, and dedication to our ESG goals.
2022 saw the well-deserved retirement of Steve Richardson, and Leigh Goodland took up the position of CEO, with DTM moving to our current HQ building in Blackpool.
To 2024, and now, with 20 years of experience and 20 years of invaluable knowledge, we’ve made some of our biggest advances over the last 12 months.
The introduction of fleet tyre audits and advanced IT capabilities are enabling analysis and reporting to deliver insight which is guiding fleet tyre strategies and supporting customer net zero activities. We will continue to innovate and influence our industry to make the right decisions for fleet operators and for the environment over the coming years.
Enormous thanks to our valued customers, service partners and colleagues for sharing the journey with us and for your continued support.
